Jeep on the White Rim Road, Canyonlands, UT

Canyonlands, UT

I fly from NYC to the West Coast with most of my camping and photo gear and then rent a Jeep from LAX, stock up on food and any other gear and hit the road. I live out of the Jeep, tent camping alongside it for the duration of my travels. Minus the occassional hotel shower. One day I'll get my own Jeep and build it out but I don't want to deal with it in NYC. I get a Jeep because of the back road conditions I encounter - with it's high clearance and ability to go over almost any terrain, it makes me feel safer as a solo traveler.

As every photographer working outdoors knows, its all about hurrying and then waiting for the light.
